Privacy Policy
This policy explains what AppFlight collects, what it does not, and why. AppFlight is a product of IQ Digital LLC ("AppFlight", "we", "us"). It covers the appflight.dev website and the AppFlight desktop application for macOS.
The short version: AppFlight is local software
AppFlight is a Mac app, not a cloud service. When you describe an app and AppFlight builds it, all of that happens on your computer. Your prompts, the Swift code that gets generated, your project files, and your API keys never travel to our servers, because there is no server in that path. This is an architectural fact, not just a promise: we could not read your code if we wanted to.
What the desktop app does not collect
- Your prompts. What you type into AppFlight goes to the AI tool installed on your Mac. It never reaches us.
- Your source code. Generated apps live in a folder on your Mac. We never upload, read, or store them.
- Your API keys and credentials. Keys you connect (RevenueCat, Supabase, Stripe, App Store Connect, Apple Ads, and others) are encrypted using your Mac's own secure storage, which is backed by the macOS Keychain, and stay on your machine. They are sent only to the service that owns them, directly from your Mac.
- Crash and error logs. If AppFlight hits an error, it writes a log to a file on your Mac to help you diagnose it. That file stays local and is not transmitted to us.
Third party AI tools you connect
AppFlight works by driving an AI coding tool that you install and sign into yourself, such as Claude Code from Anthropic or Codex from OpenAI. When AppFlight builds your app, your prompt is handled by that tool under your account and their terms and privacy policy, not ours. We are not a party to that exchange and we do not receive a copy of it. Please read the privacy policy of whichever provider you choose.
What the desktop app sends to us
- Update checks. On launch, AppFlight asks appflight.dev whether a newer version exists. This is a simple request for a small file. Like any web request it includes your IP address and is visible to our hosting provider in standard server logs. It contains no information about you, your projects, or your prompts. You can turn this off in Settings under Updates.
That is the complete list of what AppFlight sends to us. AppFlight does talk to the services you connect, such as App Store Connect, RevenueCat, Supabase, or OpenAI, but those requests go straight from your Mac to that service using your own account, and we never see them. If we ever add anything else, such as opt in analytics or crash reporting, we will ask you first and update this page.
The website
- Analytics. appflight.dev uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies and collects standard information such as your approximate location, browser, and the pages you view. It does not tell us who you are. See Google's privacy policy. You can block it with any ad blocker or browser tracking protection, and the site works fine without it.
- Waitlist and contact. If you join the waitlist or email us, we receive the email address and any message you send. Our waitlist form is delivered through Web3Forms, which passes the submission to us. We use your address to contact you about AppFlight. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers.
- Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and reliability.
How long we keep things
We keep waitlist and contact emails until you ask us to delete them, or until they are no longer needed. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' own retention settings. Anything on your Mac stays on your Mac and is yours to delete at any time by removing the app and its folders.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because we hold so little, this is usually just your email address. Email [email protected] and we will take care of it. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have these rights under laws including the GDPR and the CCPA, and we honor them regardless of where you live.
Children
AppFlight is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, and you are on our list, we will tell you by email.
